Robbin is a native Atlantan who has worked in communications and marketing for more than 30 years. Robbin Steed & Associates began in 2018 to help business and nonprofits thrive at the intersection where profit meets purpose. Robbin continues to serve as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at the Networks of 11Alive/ NBC Atlanta/TEGNA Media. She is responsible for providing business, civic and philanthropic leadership for TEGNA Media’s Atlanta properties. Additionally, she manages the TEGNA Foundation for the Atlanta market.
Robbin served as the 2017 President of the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta, a professional 100-member organization of Atlanta corporations and businesses who engage and network around community empowerment, employee volunteerism and corporate social responsibility. Currently, she continues to serve on the CVC Executive Board as past-President.
She has served in positions including Sales Marketing Manager, Research Director and Special Projects Manager. During the Olympics in Atlanta, Steed served as the Project Manager for the Gannett Company’s on-site marketing and hospitality for the company and the station in its role as the Official Station for the Olympic Games in 1996
Robbin also worked at Gannett Broadcasting in Washington, DC as General Executive, including a stint as Station Relations Coordinator for USA TODAY, The Television Show.
Robbin is a Cum Laude graduate of the Henry Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the University of Georgia Alumni Association. Robbin also serves on the Board of Trustees of AG Rhodes Health, the Board of Directors for the Coweta County Samaritan clinic, and is a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Robbin was the Founding Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Nixon Center for the Arts and continues to serve on its Advisory Board. Robbin graduated with the 2014 Class for Leadership Atlanta and has been awarded three Emmy Awards for Community Service Programming from the Southeast Division of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences. Robbin lives in Sharpsburg, Georgia with her husband Josh. They have three children Lee, a Senior at UGA in the School of Public and International Affairs; Parker, a Junior Economics major at UGA in the Terry College; and Laney, a Junior at East Coweta High School who is verbally committed to play soccer at the University of Florida in 2019.
